/ The Challenge

Where the hours were going.

For a used car lot, the purchase is where the profit is made or lost. A vehicle bought for too much — or one with a problem nobody caught — can sit on the lot for months and eat the margin from several good deals.

Evaluations relied on experience and a quick look under pressure. Known problem areas for specific makes, models, and years weren't always top of mind, and there was no consistent checklist behind each buy.

/ What We Built

The AI-enhanced workflow.

We built a valuation tool that prices a vehicle under consideration and, just as importantly, tells the buyer what to look out for.

Enter the vehicle's details and the tool returns an estimated value and a target purchase price, plus a tailored list of red flags — common failures and inspection points for that make, model, and year — so the evaluation covers what actually matters.

/ How We Built It

From friction to system.

  1. Step 01

    Study the buys

We looked at how vehicles were evaluated and where bad purchases slipped through.

  2. Step 02

    Build the valuation

Pricing logic tuned to how the lot buys and sells.

  3. Step 03

    Add red-flag intelligence

AI surfaces known issues for the exact vehicle being considered.

  4. Step 04

    Make it mobile

A simple interface that works standing next to the car.

/ Outcomes

What changed.

  • No costly bad buys since adoption
  • Consistent evaluations on every vehicle
  • Faster, more confident purchase decisions
/ Questions

Common questions.

Does the tool replace a mechanical inspection?
No. It makes the inspection smarter by pointing to the issues most likely for that vehicle.
Is this only for used car lots?
It fits any business buying vehicles or equipment for resale — dealers, fleet buyers, and equipment resellers.
